Opening the Seminar Dan Kulp, COPE Chair, introduces the virtual webinars, workshops and panels for COPE members to take part in this week.

Dan reviews recent COPE work and looks forward to new activities in the pipeline before introducing Deborah Poff, COPE past-Chair.

Deborah Poff speaks on the continuum of research and publication ethics:

• history of universities, their structure and governance
• CLUE guidelines (Cooperation and Liaison between Universities and Editors) 
• COPE's partnership with universities: why we need to do what we are doing, and a preview of the university educational resource.
