Monday 2 October
Handling a case of misconduct summary
Experiences of an editor, a publisher, a university research integrity officer, and a research misconduct body. The panel highlighted the complexities of the process, why they arise and what can be done to make it easier and quicker to resolve. Following the panel discussion the conversation opened to questions from attendees.
Tuesday 3 October: PUBLICATION MISCONDUCT AND FRAUD DAY
For the first time we dedicated a day of our seminar programme to the threat presented by misconduct and fraud and how we can work together to combat these issues.

Representatives from organisations producing tools to detect publication misconduct showed that while technology is creating new challenges for academic publishing, it can also be part of the solution.

The panel discussed the formal and informal ways in which critiques are posted and how critiques should be raised and handled.

Friday 6 October
Inclusive language video
In this session we will explore what role, if any, journals and publishers should play in assessing content for inclusivity, examining the potential benefits and pitfalls of language use policies.
Introduction to publication ethics workshop video
This event is for new and less experienced editors, with discussion of several cases on different issues, and how to use COPE's resources to prevent and resolve issues.
