Reproducing or translating COPE materials
Our COPE materials are available to use under the
Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs licence (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). This means that you are free to copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format, as long as you comply with the following licensing terms:
- Attribution — You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor (but not in any way that suggests that they endorse you or your use of the work).
- Non-commercial — You may not use this work for commercial purposes.
- No Derivative Works — You may not alter, transform, or build upon this work.
We are very grateful to members of our community who kindly undertake translations of our materials. If you would like to translate any of our materials, permission must be sought from COPE first, where more guidance will be provided (contact us). Note: All translations must attribute the English version on COPE’s website as the English version will always be the most accurate and up to date version. COPE is not responsible for the accuracy of the translation.
Use of the COPE logo
We place strict control on the use of the COPE logo and it is not permitted to imply membership of COPE, or to display the COPE logo on your website or in any printed materials, before any application for membership has been accepted. The COPE logo is unique to each member and contains the membership ID number and the year they became a member of COPE.
Photography and copyright
Photography and filming may take place at our events, in person or online. Where we have obtained consent from attendees for use of their images (in accordance with our Privacy policy) COPE will hold the copyright for such images/video and may reuse them on its website or printed materials. This means that if you would like to reuse these, even if you are in the image/video, you must ask us for consent to do so. In line with GDPR, attendees have the right to withdraw consent at any time, and details of the process they should follow to request this are provided in our Privacy Policy.
