- Nanotoxicology publishes peer-reviewed research relating to the hazards and risks associated with the use and development of nano-structured materials. The journal covers research on a variety of nano-structured materials: specifically, primarily those with at least one dimension in the nanometer size range (1-100nm). This includes nanoparticles, nanomaterials, nanomedicines, and nano-surfaces of larger materials and composites which may used in consumer products (e.g. paints, food, cosmetics, electronics, medicines, diagnostics and textiles) or be materials generated for delivery into the body (food, medicines, diagnostics, prosthetics) and particles designed for environmental applications (such as remediation).
