IMPORTANT UPDATE
The 6th Regional Conference on Medical Journals (EMMJ6) has been postponed to later in the year and revised dates are currently being planned.

The Sixth Regional Conference on Medical Journals in the Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMMJ6) will be held in Cairo, Egypt 1–4 September 2013.  EMMJ6 is jointly organized by the Eastern Mediterranean Association of Medical Editors,  the World Health Organization Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean, and the Academy for Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT), Egypt.  Editors and staff of health science journals in the Region and beyond, as well as interested health and biomedical researchers, peer reviewers, authors, and publishers are invited to participate in the conference.  The Conference will discuss the challenges facing health science journals in the Region and share the latest information/trends relating to health science journal editing. The main conference is preceded by a national meeting of editors of Egyptian health science journals, and workshops on a range of issues of interest to editors. COPE will be participating in the conference and in the workshops on publishing ethics
