COPE members can now register to attend the December Forum, to be held on Tuesday 15 December 2:00-3:30pm GMT. The deadline to register is Monday 14 December.
The discussion topic is 'Predatory publishing: next steps and where do we go from here?'. This will be followed by discussion and advice among attendees on members' cases submitted in advance (see cases below).

- unable to contact authors
- simultaneous submission without aiming at duplicate publication
- authors requesting removal of verbatim text from published paper
- reviewer's identity revealed
- paper published without permission or acknowledgement from institution
4. Updates to cases previously brought to the COPE Forum
- appropriate scope of review for retractions
- sharing by a reviewer on social media
- authors requesting withdrawal of articles from similarity check database in order to re-publish
