COPE Members: join us for the COPE Forum where participants discuss publication ethics issues submitted by Members. The Forum will begin with a discussion on "Artificial intelligence and fake papers" before we ask participants for advice on Members' cases.
Forum agenda
On Thursday 23 March 2023 the COPE Forum will be held at 15:00-16:30pm (GMT / UTC)
1. Update on COPE activities
Update on COPE activities by the Chair.
2. Forum discussion topic
We begin the COPE Forum with a discussion on the topic of Artificial intelligence and fake papers.
Whether or not you attend the Forum we welcome your comments to add to the discussion.
3. New cases
Cases submitted by COPE Members for discussion at the Forum.
4. Updates to cases
- Removing a retracted article from a third party site
- Author accused of sexual harassment
- Dealing with cases with culturally offensive content
- Data availability for vulnerable populations
- Request to remove author from submitted manuscript due to academic misconduct
Members who have previously brought cases to the COPE Forum update us on their progress
