Research project
In an attempt to tackle the issue of paper mills at source, COPE and STM (International Association of Scientific Technical and Medical Publishers) are about to embark on a joint project which will seek to understand the scale of the problem, and outline key issues, challenges and solutions. Based on the results of this research, we will produce and execute a plan on how to deal with paper mills.

Sharing your experience of paper mills
If you have volunteered to share your experience, your information will be shared with Maverick Publishing Specialists who will contact you to find out more about your experiences of paper mills.
Maverick have been contracted to undertake the research project on behalf of COPE and STM. Maverick is a UK organisation and complies fully with UK GDPR, ensuring your privacy and rights are safeguarded.
Your information will also be shared with STM, who are based in the Netherlands. Personal data transferred to STM is therefore protected under EU GDPR. For this project COPE and STM are joint data controllers, and Maverick is the data processor.
