Dr Trevor Lane, COPE Council member, was an invited panellist in the Ethics Clinic at the virtual 2021 Annual Meeting of the Council of Science Editors (CSE) on 5 May 2021. The Ethics Clinic is a regular feature of the CSE Annual Meeting and is jointly sponsored by the CSE Editorial Policy Committee and COPE. This year’s topic was the ethics of data sharing (see PDF).

This paper published in the Indian Journal of Gastroenterology and aimed at educating postgraduate scientists provides a useful summary of publication ethics including the responsibilities of authorship.
This is the last monthly edition of Digest. From April, Digest will be bimonthly.
