7th World Conference on Research Integrity

The 7th World Conference on Research Integrity will take place Cape Town in 2022 with the theme 'Fostering Research Integrity in an Unequal World'.

COPE are 'Rhino' sponsors of this event. Sponsors support the event and keep it affordable to encourage participants from a wide range of countries and, as this is the first time this conference will be held in Africa, to ensure participation from African delegates.

The conference will take place in person, or you can join via live streaming, from 29 May – 1 June 2022. WCRI will monitor the developments closely and will follow all recommendations of WHO and the South African health authorities.

The conference will be relevant to Research Integrity stakeholders across all disciplinary fields from the basic and applied natural and biomedical sciences to the humanities and social sciences. Research Integrity stakeholders include researchers, institutional leaders, national and international policy makers, funders and journals.

COPE at WCRI

COPE will be will be represented at the World Conference on Research Integrity by Dan Kulp, COPE Chair, and Matt Hodgkinson, COPE Council member. Matt has organised the panel on “When and how to report to institutions, journals, publishers, or elsewhere" which Dan Kulp will be moderating. This session will explore the available resources and the barriers to reporting issues.
