Natalie Ridgeway joined COPE in 2010 as the Operations Manager. Now Executive Officer, her main responsibilities are to implement the strategic goal and objectives of COPE; support the Trustee Board and the operations of Council activities, overseeing the delivery and quality of all resources and services.
Natalie previously worked as a Project Manager for the BMJ Specialty Jourrnals (1997-2004) and as the Editorial Operations Manager at The Lancet (2005 - 2010) where her main responsibility was implementing the pre- and post-acceptance peer review systems.
Natalie is a full time employee of COPE.
Linda Gough has been working on a part time basis as the COPE administrator since 2006. She is freelance and also works as a freelance copyeditor of medical and scientific journals.
Marketing & Communications Officer
Sarah promotes resources and learning about publication ethics issues to COPE members and the wider community. Sarah also works for a renewable energy company and on freelance marketing and administration projects. Previous experience includes digital marketing for an organic grocery delivery company and marketing roles in journal and book publishing.
Dom is responsible for the strategic growth and development of the COPE website. He works closely with the COPE Team and site developers. He ensures that the site continues to be up-to-date, strategically relevant and fit for purpose. He is also the Operations Manager for Directory of Open Access Journals and has worked in digital publishing since 1998.
Facilitation and Integrity Officer
Iratxe Puebla acts in a freelance capacity in assisting with the administration and processing of complaints submitted to COPE.
Iratxe moved from research into publishing in 2003 when she joined the editorial team for the BMC-series journals, she then became a freelance editor working for several organizations. Currently, Iratxe is Managing Editor for the journal PLOS ONE.
David joined COPE as Membership Administrator in October 2018. David has worked in publishing and communications teams in the non-profit sector for over fifteen years. His last role was in the editorial team at Amnesty International.
