COPE's August Digest with a focus on ethical oversight includes a discussion on the case 'lack of trial registration leads to new concerns about study conduct and ethical review/approval'. The discussion includes guidelines and advice for anyone experiencing a similar issue. We'd also like to hear from you on two topics: the prevalence of text recycling to help inform an update to our guidance; your experience with alleged paper mills. Paper mills is the discussion topic at our COPE Forum on 4 September where COPE members are also invited to discuss the latest cases submitted by other members.
