COPE members
COPE members are part of a community that is helping to create a future where ethical practice in scholarly publication is the cultural norm. The COPE Membership Handbook is a guide, for new and existing members of COPE, to the benefits of being a COPE member, how to make the most of membership, and how to uphold the highest ethical standards in research publishing.

Member benefits
Membership gives full access to COPE events and resources on our website, including guidance, advice, education and support on all aspects of publication ethics. If, as a COPE member, you need advice on a case, that you cannot resolve using our website resources, you can submit a case to the COPE Forum for discussion and advice.
COPE Core practices
Membership of COPE signals to authors, reviewers and readers that the journal upholds the highest ethical standards in research publishing and that the journal intends to follow COPE’s Core Practices and take appropriate action when issues arise. To keep up to date with COPE's Core practices, members can use the COPE Journal audit as a checklist.
Manage member account
Members can sign into their account on the website, edit the journal or publisher details and invite colleagues so they can access COPE resources. Members can demonstrate membership of COPE with a personalised COPE logo for use in their journal or website.
