Blog highlights retractions

Two US journalists have created a blog about retractions (http://retractionwatch.wordpress.com). They argue that retractions are an important mechanism for correcting the research literature but may not be easy to find or well-publicised. They also note that journals appear to be inconsistent in their policies and practices on issuing retractions (which was one reason why COPE issued guidelines on retraction last year -- see
