Iain Hay is Matthew Flinders Distinguished Emeritus Professor of Human Geography in the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at Flinders University, South Australia. He is also Vice-President (and Publications Officer) of the International Geographical Union.
Iain co-authored Research Ethics for Social Scientists (Sage) with Mark Israel; is immediate past Editor-in-Chief of Geographical Research (Wiley); and sits on the Editorial Boards of 12 journals. Iain co-founded Ethics, Place and Environment (now Ethics, Policy & Environment, T&F) and served as its first Editor for the Asia-Pacific.
Iain served many years on his university’s Social and Behavioural Research Ethics committee and his publishing includes, but is not limited to, professional and publication ethics and practices, research methods, and the contemporary significance of the ‘humanities’.
