2016-2019 First Term

Helena Hui Wang is Asia Executive Editor of The Lancet. She is The Lancet’s first point of contact with authors in Asia, building relationships with top researchers and research institutes as well as key government agencies within the region. She is also responsible to identify and attract submissions of the best research from this region.  She peer-reviews manuscripts, including fast track submissions, writes editorials, and develops The Lancet’s presence in Asia through conferences and themed issues. She has made many speeches introducing how to submit to The Lancet and The Lancet editorial policy in China, UK, USA and South Korea.  Helena Wang holds a M.D. and a Master degree in Medicine from Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China. She has received editorial training and writing courses in London and Oxford in UK, and taken European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer course on Clinical Trial Statistics in Belgium.
