COPE is pleased to announce its first US seminar. The seminar, similar in form and presentation to COPE’s UK seminars, will have the general theme of detection and management of publication misconduct. A copy of the programme is available to download here.

Editors, authors and all those interested in improving the standard of publication ethics are welcome.
The seminar will include invited talks:
• Detection of image manipulation
• Published research – flawed, misleading, deceitful: roles, responsibilities and responses of journals and editors
• Editorial misconduct in medical and basic science journals
• Legal considerations and pitfalls for editors

In addition:

• Discussion of COPE’s Best Practice Guidelines and audit tool
• Interactive workshops on the key topics of the seminar
• Opportunities to network with other editors and share your experiences and challenges

The seminar is free for COPE members and £300 for non-members. Numbers are limited and early booking is advisable. Priority will be given to COPE members. To register, please complete the registration form below.
