Biography

Tim Feest is a graduate of Surrey University where he studied metallurgy and materials science. His first job after graduating was as a trainee editor and technical journalist with IPC Science and Technology Press, a new, small publishing company established by IPC Business Press within Reed International (now Reed-Elsevier). Thereafter Tim worked his way up the editorial ladder, achieving Board Member status as Publishing Director with Butterworth Scientific and then as Production Director for Butterworth-Heinemann. Most recently Tim has been employed as the Executive Director of the Occupational Standards Council for Engineering, a cross-sector body set up to develop and promote the use of generic competence standards and vocational qualifications for engineering and manufacturing. He also works as a freelance trainer for the UK Government-funded Business Link network in the Southeast of England, delivering training workshops for individuals interested in starting their own businesses.
